Moving in the Spirit
Last night at church my Small Group leader, Kelley, asked if I wanted to accompany her during the after service prayer ministry. I was a little unsure but decided that I should jump in. So I went. She asked me if I felt the Lord leading me to anyone and I thought we should talk to this one girl, but I wasn't sure. Kelley took the lead anyways and ended up choosing the girl I felt we should pray for. We introduced ourselves to her and she told us what she'd been feeling and what she wanted prayer for. Again, Kelley took the lead and began praying for her. I prayed in spirit and agreed with Kelley. Then Kelley paused and I was wondering if she was waiting for me to jump in. Again I was unsure, but I did feel like I had some words to pray. So I did.
We continued to pray for her and I felt the Lord's Spirit drop and the girl began to show signs of the Spirit working on her. It was exciting. Then I thought I saw something in my mind.. an image of a dark corrider that lead to a bright open archway/doorway. Outside the doorway was a grassy hill with a tree swaying in the wind. I saw this in my mind and I kind of 'saw' this vision flow into her mind. I didn't say anything about it because it lasted only a moment and I really wasn't sure what it was at the time. Later I realized that it was a vision, most likely for the girl.
We finished praying with her and she seemed to have a burden lifted from her.
It made me happy to have felt as though the Lord had used me to help someone. I'm sure she's got the answer she needed, if not, it's on it's way! Praise the Lord. He's so faithful and so awesome.
