The Passion of Christ!
Hallelujah! I can't believe what a wonderful job Mel Gibson did and how awesome this movie was. It was absolutely wonderful and a great depiction of what Christ really went through for us all. Not to mention how great the movie was, but how many people it is touching! I went to a late night showing and it was still packed and sold out. I wanted to go see it Thursday night with Liss and Jimmy, but I had to go to rehearsal and write a paper **grumbles**. N*E*Ways.... I think everyone should see this movie. Every single person in the world! Christians and Non-christians. Liss and I, and probably the rest of the world, have a little gag about the movie. As she got to see it before I did she called out to me as she left school, "Well.. I won't ruin the ending for you." And I reply, "That's o.k., I'll just go read the book." hehehe. Yeah it's kind of lame, but funny. Wait.. do you get it? It's a joke because you know, it's the story of Christ and all christians know that story, not to mention it's in the Bible. Ok, just checking. Don't know if I have any non-christian readers. Back to what I was saying. Absolutely Unbelievable! I must have cried pretty much the entire time! I loved it. It was just so interesting and good to see it done well. I mean, they never really show you the deep suffering Christ endured! I teared up a bit when they were accusing Christ and kept punching him. Then when they were beating him after he'd been judged I cried harder. When they pulled out the Cat of Nine Tails though, I pretty much lost it. That was my Jesus, my Savior, My Lord. He went through so much pain, through so much suffering. He did it all for me, for you, for everyone. I kept asking myself, "Why Lord?! Why would you go through such horribleness. It's just me." It angered me so much to see the Romans beating him and abusing him and mocking him. If He so deemed he could have destroyed them all! How dare they harm my Jesus. Watching Christ struggle with his cross was hard. They continued to beat his already shredded body and expected him to make it all the way he had to walk. These people were animals.. sheer beasts with no souls. I cried, I sobbed, and I shook. The strongest impact on me was when Mary saw Jesus, she saw him stumble and she ran to him. They flash back to a time he fell when he was a child. It really struck a cord and I sobbed uncontrollably. The tears flowed while they nailed Jesus to the cross, he went through so much pain! So much... for me! I was angry again at the one theif who yelled at Christ and rejoiced when the raven came and plucked his eyes out. Of course I cried again when he told the other he would meet him in Heaven. It was like he turned directly to me and said I would see him in Heaven. I felt so happy and so much love, but at the same time so much sorrow. In the end Jesus dies, but truly that is not the end! He is resurrected, he victoriously returns! Hallelujah Hallelujah! My Christ is Risen!!! Thank you Jesus for all that you have done. Thank you for all that you are. Thank you for saving me. I love you with all my heart, soul, mind, and body. Praise Jesus forevermore!
