First Bible Study
Tonight I hosted my first Bible Study and I must say it went smashingly well! I was a little worried that I wouldn't do well, that my friends would be bored, or something crazy would happen and we'd all start fighting or something. But Praise Jesus none of that happened. In fact, it was just awesome. I think I did alright on trying to get the information I thought was important in, as well as making it as painless as possible.
Our topic for the evening was about Father Abraham. Angie and Alex only knew a little song about him, but other than that didn't know anything about him at all. It was fun introducing them to new and different ideas and revelations not only about Biblical People but also God. The main points I wanted to touch on with Abraham is Faith and Trust in God, the importance and significance of Covenant, and of course the correlation between the sacrifice of Isaac to Jesus. Angie seemed really interested and learned quite a bit. Plus, she said it was exactly what she needed. That made me feel good.
Of course we opened and closed in prayer and then Alex entertained us by picking random verses (mainly ones in Proverbs and Numbers) and reading them to us comically. hehehe.
Next week we'll be studying about Daniel. So far, they know about Daniel and the lion's den. But of course, there is so much more than that and they may not know all the hidden significances behind what happened in the Den. Of course I will discuss Mishack, Shadrack, and Abednigo. I'm so excited!
