Let it snow! (cubed)
So I've been really upset about the cold weather up here in Illinois. Have I mentioned lately how much I hate being cold and how I loathe the cold? Seriously, I hate the cold and I hate winter! There is a reason why I live in Texas people! It doesn't get that cold down there and when it does, it doesn't last long.
I also despise wearing winter clothes. I'm a hefty enough girl as it is. I don't need the extra layers to make me look any bigger. I feel like Violet in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory after she chewed up the piece of gum that tasted like a three course meal. Not to mention I can barely move and have to galumph around. Imagine if you will.. Chris Farrely in the movie Tommy Boy teasing David Spade by putting on David's much smaller jacket. That's how I feel. I just want to squeeze into a ball and rip everything off! But alas, in doing so, I'd freeze to death out in this stupid weather.
As I awoke this morning, the people on the radio announced that it had snowed. Well whoopty freaking doo! Having only had a few hours of sleep, still feeling gi-normous, and not in the mood, I prepared for the day. I was expecting to be pissed off the rest of the day since my temper was quickly rising. Nevertheless...........
As I walked outside and made my way to the bus stop, my mood immediately lifted and wave of happiness, peace, and joy swept over me. It was amazing and one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen. Everything was blanketed with snow. It was like walking into a Christmas Card. The feeling I had.. well, it's indescribable. I felt wonderful, I wasn't cold, I was energized, I was excited. The atmosphere really felt like Christmas and I felt as though I were a kid again, back in Indiana. I wanted my brother to be there. We used to play in the snow together as kids. I was just sublimely happy. If it's going to be cold.. fine. Just as long as there's powder on the ground. Let it snow.. let it snow.. let it Snow!!
