Getting my party on

It was about 7 p.m. last night when I realized something. I'm 21 yrs old, on my summer vacation, and sitting home alone on a Friday night when I know there was a perfectly good party to attend with my brother and some friends of ours. That was just sad and I decided I wasn't going to simply sit around all night. I got dressed and prettied up and called up Sam. I met up with him at a block party he was DJing at and we hung out for about half an hour. Then we broke down the set and headed to South Arlington. After a lot of driving around in circles trying to find the girl's apartment we finally found it and got set up. The moment I walked into the aptartment I knew I wasn't going to enjoy these people's company. They were all sorostitute plasticy fake kind of girls and a bunch of prep guys. In fact, the guys all wore the same outfit, just in varying colors: a striped polo shirt over a t-shirt, and jeans. So classic. The only ones who were cool were the hostesses, Heidi and Evelyn. So Sam and I were all set up in the corner with his DJ gear. Slowly more and more people arrived, but they weren't doing much. Just standing around and drinking. Sam of course was playing music and I just sat back in the corner and enjoyed the music. Finally, a couple buddies of ours showed up and that's when the party got going. Jill, Danny, and I hung out and talked. Jill is really kewl. I had never met her before but we struck it off really well. She even knows an old buddy of mine from High School, Mike Carlson, and through her I'm going to go to a party of his tomorrow to see him. Yay reunions!
So most of the people there were boring. Like I said, they just stood around drinking and talking. Nobody was dancing!! Nobody! Of course me being me and Jill being here, we were like screw this and started dancing. It was wierd of course b/c everyone was watching but we didn't care. Dancing is fun. Then Danny joined us and even Heidi started to dance. But then around midnight or so-ish, everybody started to leave! I did not understand it, but we were having such a good time just our small little group, it didn't matter. Then Jill and Danny had to leave because it is an hour drive back to where we live. So there was practically anybody left a small handful. I was exhausted by then and just sat down on the couch. The couch was so big and comfy and squishy, and before I knew it, I was asleep. It could have been a really boring evening, but it turned out to be really fun.
