Happy Belated Mother's Day
Because my family and I were in Lubbock for Mother's Day. I didn't get a chance to give mom her gift. I gave her her card and inside said what the gift was. I planned to spend a day with her. We'd have lunch together, I'd get her a spa pedicure, and then we'd go to the Museum. Pretty much a mother daughter day of beauty. Beauty for the body, soul, and mind. **beams** We finally got to have our day today and it was so fun. Of course I was a little tired from the party the night before but that didn't interfere with our fun. First we had breakfast at Mom's favorite breakfast place and she got a huge strawberry waffle, which sounds really good right now.... mmm.. strawberry waffle. **drools** It was nice just being able to chit chat with Mom and enjoy each other's company. Then we went to a new nail place where we were pampered. We both got spa pedicures and Mom got a manicure too. I don't do manicures because I work so much with my hands it's just a waste. I'm always chipping a nail or something. So now our feet and Mom's hands look fabulous. Afterwards, we shot off to Ft. Worth to spend the day at the Museum. We were going to go to the Kimball Art Museum but we weren't really in the mood to look at paintings. So we went to the planitarium and the OMNI theatre. At the OMNI we watched two shows, one about Bugs and another about Dolphins. They were pretty interesting and the Dolphin one was so pretty. I love the ocean and I love Dolphins. Going to the museum always makes me want to be a scientist again. I really should. Afterwards on the way home we stopped by Dairy Queen to try their new "Flamethrower" burger. We had seen the commercial for it the day before and couldn't stop laughing. If you haven't seen it, this guy eats the burger and when he wipes his mouth with the napkin, it catches on fire. Of course he tries to put it out but his desk catches on fire. Then he tries blowing it out but his breath has become fire and it shoots out even more on his desk. Eventually his whole office is in flame and his coworkers come in the help. He starts screaming but more and more fire comes shooting out. Oh it's hilarious! hehehe... anyways, we tried out the 'flamethrower' burger and it was actually quite tasty and nice and spicy. Yummers. Of course Mom and I had a good time. It was wonderful to be able to spend time with her and not fight or have an arguement. I really did enjoy her company today and I hope she realizes how much I do love her.
