A New School Semester
So this is officially the second week of school. And I must say so far it is great! I like all the classes I am taking, actually have friends in every single class, and don't have to spend too much time at school with nothing to do. It is definately going to be a wondermous semester. Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays I'm taking Costume 2, Health Psychology, and Theatre History. Tuesday and Thursday I only have one class which is Stage Design. Lastly, on Saturdays I have my 3-D Make up class (which I am really excited about). Sure I'm going to school 6 days out of the week, but they are great classes... not like I have anything else to do. Oh oh oh! I also got a job at school. Now, you may be thinking, "Why did you get a job if you are taking so many classes?!" Well truth be told it isn't a 'regular' 9-5 kind of job. True I'm only working 6 hours a week but that's kewl with me. I work Tuesday and Thursday from 2-4, and Friday 3-5. What job am I working at? Well duh! I'm working in the costume shop at school. That's right baby! I'm a costume shop assistant! Not only will I be helping out lab students with sewing but I will be working on show costume while getting paid!!! Woo hoo! Go me! Seriously, this will be an awesome semester. YAYNESS!!!! I almost forgot! I made it into the BFA. Woot and a half! A part of me didn't really think i'd make though a part of me did, and I DID! Praise Jesus! So this is a good thing. Only 3 more semesters and I'll be an edumacated graduate. Let me think.. did I leave anything else out? Duh!
I got my assignment over the summer of what I would be doing for my 4095 class. (it's a class that really isn't a class but more of a learning experience. They assign you a job like working in the costume shop or scene shop or something like that for so many hours and you work .. without pay of course. But you do get a nice little credit though.) So my job this semester is PROPS DESIGNER for my 2nd fave play, "The Love of the Nightingale." There aren't a whole lots of props on my little list but that's kewl. There are some nice things that I can add to my portfolio.
