EB Update
Current mood: lazy

The EB and I were supposed to get together on Labor Day, Monday, as I mentioned before. Did this happen? .... ummmmm.... no.

We had plans. Everything was scheduled. However, he did not show. Was I angry? Was I concerned? Was I confused? You're damn straight I was. Who wouldn't be? ... I wasn't sure if I was being blown off. I wasn't sure if perhaps he'd just forgotten (though how could he?). And I wasn't sure if perhaps something happened. I tried to remain rational and calm. I figured, "I'll see him tomorrow night and all of this will be straightened out." (That's me trying to be positive.) .... Though, I had an uneasy feeling about the whole situation.

Upon arriving, none of the usual gang was there. Not a good sign as in the past he's been there before I was. After about 15-20 minutes, all his buddies trickled in. I greeted them and asked about EB. His roommate informed me that he had to work early. Le sigh. I'd just have to wait till next week or till I got an e-mail.

I received the e-mail when I got home that night. He had been stuck in Danville with no way back to town. The week went by and I didn't hear from EB, neither did I send an e-mail. I probably was still a little pissed having been stood up, though it wasn't intentional. Friday night however (last night) we happened to be online at the same time. We began e-mail each other, just chatting. Before I knew it I was back on the road on my way to Merry Ann's to meet up with the EB.

It was a beautiful night last night. There was a wonderfully mild breeze and the friday night bustle of people. He and I sat outside on a bench and talked while I sipped my hot cocoa, and he, his coffee. We swapped stories of our childhood, how we grew up. He told me about some of the hard things he's been through. I told him about my brother. ... You know what I really love. I absolutely love those moments when you're talking with someone and when you stop they just sit and stare at you with this kind of admiring look. As if even your silence was the most important thing to hear. I never really know how to act or react when this happens. I usually just get all giggly and blush. Of course when I look back at the person they are usually still gazing at me which creates a type of continuation of my giggling and blushing till I have to cover my face in embarrassment.

It was getting late and we both had to work in the morning. He walked me to my car. Heh... on our way to my car we ran into some of his work friends and then his roommate and other friends. I hardly ever run into people I know out in the "real" world that is Urbana. Meh.. ce la vie.

I'm glad I got a chance to hang out with the EB. We had a nice time just chatting. It was good to get out and not be at home. And it just about made up for Monday, ... just about. I'm not sure if I'll see him next Tuesday. It depends on his schedule. But that's cool. I've been to SubV plenty of times without an EB in my life.

Bus Stop Intrigue
Current mood: chipper

Have I told you about the guy at the Bus Stop? I met him last year during Spring Break. I was working to make up hours and he was working too. So every morning, we waited for and road the bus together. We started talking a little bit. His name is Tom. He lives in my apt complex and on occasion he rides the bus. He's a little bit shorter than me, maybe my same height, but he's kind of cute. Actually.. he reminds me a lot of Brek. ... It's wierd. He's very talkative. I mean.. very! I don't think I've known a man to talk so much. There's also a bit of arrogance about him, but not too much. It's not enough to be annoying, mean, or hurtful, but it's enough to be attractive. Hey, confidence is attractive. Plain and simple.

Anyways.. Tom and I kept running into each other the bus this week. We didn't really say much at first but we noticed each other well enough. Then I wore my cowboy hat on Wed. and he happened to be riding the bus that morning. He told me that he liked it and then proceeded to talk to me. It was akward b/c he was talking to me through a crowd of people and i'm sure everyone (including me) was uncomfortable, but he eventually made his way over to me. I noticed he had a tattoo peeking out under his sleeve.. so to up the flirting a notch I pulled up his sleeve and ran my fingers over it .. you know, "to see it." His roommate then came over to us and started talking. I see his roommate all the freaking time. We have like the same bus schedule. The three of us rode together and talked (that being mainly Tom).

That when i got on the bus.. he was there, again! Wierd, but exciting. I made my way over to him and we started talking. We asked each other about our days and what we did. He seemed to be super excited that i was a costumer and told me about his halloween costumes from previous years. I then described to him what i'll be wearing this year and he seemed to get very excited. He kept dropping hints that he was interested. Or at least that's how I perceived it. " oh man I would love to get pictures of that from every angle"... "my buddies have never understood why I like Goth Girls"... "what are you doing tonight?" Plus, he practically walked me to my door. And then we stood outside talking forever. I showed him my tattoo which he seemed more excited about. He even ran his finger up and down it. I about jumped on him right there. But we both had things we had to do. It was wierd. he didn't ask for my number or anything. He was all, "well I don't usually ride the bus, but i'm sure we'll run into each other eventually." That totally blows! You don't let a girl know you're interested and when she shows interest back like.. run away.
Totally lame.

We'll see how this little story pans out. It's all in the hand of the fates. er... Jesus. hehe.

Silly.. but could it happen?
Current mood: giggly

Bus Stop by The Hollies

Bus stop, wet day, she's there, I say
Please share my umbrella
Bus stop, bus goes, she stays, love grows
Under my umbrella

All that summer we enjoyed it
Wind and rain and shine
That umbrella, we employed it
By August, she was mine

Every morning I would see her waiting at the stop
Sometimes she'd shopped and she would show me what she bought
All the people stared as if we were both quite insane
Someday my name and hers are going to be the same

That's the way the whole thing started
Silly but it's true
Thinkin' of a sweet romance
Beginning in a queue

Came the sun the ice was melting
No more sheltering now
Nice to think that that umbrella
Led me to a vow

Every morning I would see her waiting at the stop
Sometimes she'd shopped and she would show me what she bought
Other people stared as if we were both quite insane
Someday my name and hers are going to be the same

Bus stop, wet day, she's there, I say
Please share my umbrella
Bus stop, bus goes, she stays, love grows
Under my umbrella

All that summer we enjoyed it
Wind and rain and shine
That umbrella, we employed it
By August, she was mine
