The Internet Boyfriend
Current mood: silent

For a while now my friend Pam and I have what we like to consider 'internet boyfriends.' They are guys that we met via the internet and talk to on a somewhat regular basis vis e-mail. Hers is Matt and mine is Rob.

Pam actually received a couple random e-mails from Matt first and that's how their internet 'romance' began. Rob and I found each other through Hot-or-Not. Our friendship hasn't been very long, maybe only a month. We just send each other random e-mails every couple days, asking questions, talking about our day, or informing the other about some interesting tidbit.
Matt lives about 2 hours east in Indiana and Rob lives one hour West in Bloomington-Normal. It's pretty fun actually. Checking your e-mail and finding a not expected message from the Internet Boyfriend always brightens the day.

Like I said, Rob is from Bloomington-Normal. He's currently going to school for Computer Science and working for an Advertisment Company which makes him a very busy young man. He enjoys Zombie movies, golf and the idea of Swing Dancing, though he at present doesn't know how. Wow.. I would think for e-mailing for a bout a month I'd know more. Sad. I suppose we're both just uberiffically busy.

I'll keep you posted on the development on the Internet Boyfriends. I believe Matt should be visiting Pam here soon. Hope that goes well.

A Mother's Day Surprise!
Current mood: excited

This year for Mother's Day I surprised my mother by coming home to Texas. She had no clue I'd be coming home and thought I'd be stuck in Illinois. Instead, I elaborately planned a way to get home without her knowing. It was great.

I drove home Friday, a 13 hour drive mind you! It was a good drive. I love driving and I love traveling and so it was greatness. I listened to music and sang the whole way down. Yep.. Anna Marie rocked it hard core from Illinois to The Lonestar State! I got in about 10:30 Friday night and crashed at my brother's place. The next morning, Sam called Mom and arranged having lunch with her. Hehe.. the plot thickens!! My brother and I drive to the predesignated restaurant, after I had bought flowers for Mom. Sam pulls in and starts talking with her since she's standing outside waiting, distracting her. I park a littler further away and start walking towards them. At first she didn't see me but then she saw my car and figured.. "wow that car looks familiar!" Then she spotted me. I do believe she burst into tears.

The moment was awesome. I had caught her totally off guard and unawares. We hugged. She cried. I was so happy to see her. Yay Mommy!
