I Love My Job!
Current mood: happy
So today was like the best day at work.. ever! The past week had been pretty boring. Tuesday we didn't do much, we had a meeting thing about safety which took a while and then we had a light fire bregade thing. The light thing was actually pretty fun. I got to stand next to a some what decently cute boy with really gorgeous eyes. I didn't introduce myself to him but that's ok. I had fun passing lights! Afterwards we were let out of work early and Angie and I did our daily run.
The next couple days we didn't have hardly any work to do at all and I was so bored! I read some plays, I read our safety manual (yes.. the entire safety manual). I ... was... so... bored! The only good thing about this was that the blue eyed guy has started working in the costume shop too. He is a Costume Wardrobe Crew Person. His name is Jon. Ha ha.. another Jon.
Anywho.. like i said. Today rocked! I had so much fun, I was busy, and there was just so much to do! Today, we distressed clothes. Angie and I were handed two pairs of socks and told to make them look like they were lived in. So we put the socks on and went outside and walked around in the grass, in the dirt, and on the track. We rolled around in them and jumped around. The entire costume shop came out to watch us and laugh. It was really really fun and the socks looked so grotuidous!
Afterwards, we were giving a "painter's smock" and two shirts which we had to make to look as though they had been used and worn by a painter. So Angie mixed up a bunch of paints for me and then I put the shirts and smock on and began to paint all over myself. Of course, I wasn't just hap-hazardly doing this, we both talked about how I would go about it and what would work the best. Our results were actually really good and I am quite happy to say that I'm pleased with our painter's clothes.
So I spent all day ruining clothes and making a big mess. It was great. I can't believe I'm getting paid to do this!
